haven't met you yet.....

I heard this new song awhile ago, and just loved it because it was catchy and I love Michael Buble. However, a few month ago, it had a whole new meaning. I am not one to understand or be able to totally empathize with people who struggle to get pregnant. I know two dear people to me, my closest best friend, and a family member who have definitely tried and tried and tried to get pregnant. Tried everything they could think of, and still... no luck. One of them just recently gave birth after 15 years of trying. And things are looking up for the other. We have been trying since May '09. And I can't imagine the stress of waiting years and years and years. I only had to wait months and months. But, all the worry and wondering if maybe there is something wrong, or maybe Porter was just a miracle, was difficult and scary. So, truly I can't imagine the pain and true agony felt by women who have tried for years! However, one night, while I was begrudgingly doing the dishes, I was listening to my ipod, and this song came on. And I listened to it a different way.
As a mother, waiting for and longing for a child....

Haven't Met You Yet....
By Michael Buble

I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
I've Broken My Heart So Many Times, I Stop Keeping Track.
I Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up And Then I Let Myself Down.
I Tried So Very Hard Not To Lose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility

And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Mmmmm ....

I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Timing And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You'll Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility
Mmmmm ......

And Somehow I Know That It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met you yet.

They say all's fair
In love and war
But I won't need to fight it
We'll get it right and
we'll be united!

And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility

MMM...

And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you kid
I'll give more than I get
then i get then i get...

Go give it a listen!! It is a great song of hope....

My new favorite word is.....yet...
